The Original Bulin 47 and Kevin Wai Video: What Happens and Where to Watch It

Before the AI remakes there was one clip: Bulin 47 improvising a dembow freestyle with Kevin Wai at the door of a restaurant in Spain. This guide explains what happens in that original video, who is in the shot, and why it is so easy to recognize when someone remakes it.

What happens in the video

Bulin 47, a Dominican urban artist, is about to walk into a restaurant when Kevin Wai comes up to him with a portable speaker playing a dembow beat. Bulin 47 stops and answers right there: improvised rhymes, gestures and moves, nothing prepared. Around them, people film it on their phones.

It is not a music video or a staged performance. That is why it works: you can tell nobody knew what was about to happen.

Who is who in the shot

• The rapper in the middle is Bulin 47: sunglasses and an open pale-pink shirt. He is the person people replace in the AI versions.
• The one with the speaker is Kevin Wai, a content creator and freestyler. More in who is Kevin Wai.
• The crowd: people at the entrance, many of them filming.
• The red light at the entrance, which makes the clip recognizable in a second.

How many views it has

The numbers change with the outlet and the day. In early October 2026 the Dominican press reported more than 50 million views across TikTok and Instagram; on October 8 De Último Minuto counted more than 60 million, and other outlets spoke of more than 70 million. What is certain is that within a week it went from a chance meeting in the street to one of the most copied clips online.

Where to watch it

Kevin Wai shared it on his Instagram, @kevin_wai07, and from there it spread through news and entertainment accounts. On TikTok, try #bulin47, #bulin47freestyle or #damehombro: you will see the original mixed with hundreds of versions.

Many copies are trimmed or remixed. For the original, look on Kevin Wai's account.

What came next

• The AI versions. People started swapping the rapper for footballers, politicians, characters and friends, keeping the moves and the sound. We explain it in the Bulin 47 AI meme.
• "Dame hombro." According to the press, the meeting led to a new track by the two, titled "Dame hombro", which is why that hashtag shows up next to Bulin 47's.
• "Bulin Day." Bulin 47 thanked people on social media for sharing the video and joked that from now until December, every day is "Bulin Day".

Put yourself in the original video

Bulin 47 AI starts from this same clip, from its first second. You upload a photo and the AI replaces the rapper in sunglasses with you; the crowd, the speaker, the red light and every move stay as in the original. You pick the first 19 seconds or the full 30-second freestyle, and you get the video with the original sound.
